I am a seven-year veteran and still in the military. I plan on starting a small business soon as a minority and for government contracts; but I want to compare unbiased information about starting a business in either Texas or Nevada.

I almost want to simply choose Texas since I consider Texas to be my home, but I want to make the right decision for my business. Is there a government point of contact that could assist me in a unbiased decision?

This is just personal opinion from living in Nevada. Right now it is not doing so well. Most of the growth has stopped and doesn't seem to be picking up anytime soon. Texas on the other hand from what I have heard has been pretty booming with new business and growth. Just my two cents.   DMP360Fall09

Hey thanks for that info! How does growth and all of that affect a business if you plan on doing business nationwide? Do they offer less compensation, aid, etc?
