I have a small Asian Art/furniture/gift store in SW Florida which is in desperate need of increasing traffic to the store - all FREE Advice is welcome!!! I use Constant Contact to keep in touch with my clients. We host events and I am in the process of developing a Teahouse in the back of the store (the Store has an Asian Motif) We expanded in the last few month and we are not meeting the rent. Laid off staff, host events what is the most effective way to market?
Are any of the events you host 'newsworthy'?
If so be sure you're getting the press coverage they deserve. If not, try to get them listed in community calendars/etc.
Who is your target market? How did you reach your existing customers? Who are your dream customers?
Can your existing customers help you bring in new customers? If so consider a reward program for customer referrals.
