I have a one vehicle owner-operator Taxi LLC in Show Low, AZ, I have been in
business for about 4 months and am looking for ideas to help get my name out
there. Funds for marketing are limited, I have introduced my services to
hotels,restaraunts and hospitals.
Also,I was wondering if anyone can tell me if seeking government contracts
are a wise eandevor?

You mentioned that you have introduced your business to local hotels,
restaurants, etc. Did you leave brochures or cards behind with a holder so
they can be displayed in a clearly visible location? If you only spoke to a
manager or employee, they will remember you for about 30 seconds.
You might also visit senior citizen's centers and offer to take people to
doctor's appointments, pick up prescriptions, etc. In doing research for an
errand services business, I found that some taxis compete with them by
offering to pick up items.
If you have a local florist or other businesses that regularly make
deliveries, you might contact them and offer to be a backup when they can't
handle all their deliveries in a timely manner. With Valentine's Day
approaching, such businesses will be extremely busy.
The key to growing your business is trust. If people like you and feel they
can trust you, they will keep coming back and will refer you to their
friends.

events are being held that way you can get your name out there as the taxi to
use when people are town for these events.
Get the names of the companies/sponsors putting on events and see if they
could list your taxi service on their website and in their promotional
materials.
That's just two suggestions. I'm not sure about the government contract
angle.
