Hi everyone:
My name is Denise:
I'm starting a new cleaning business and I'm not sure what a fair hourly wage
would be for my help. I'm looking to start with one to two assistants.
If anyone knows whats the going rate in Elizabeth, NJ?
Thanks in advance.

the split profit/loss 50/50 and realize that starting up will have more costs
than income until the business is established. Is it wise to set up a salary
base at this time or do we track profit & loss and split those out.

agreement? How have you registered your business? Are you an LLC partnership
or a corporation? The answers to these questions will determine how you
handle salary. You can't just informally agree to be a business without doing
it legally. There are taxes you must pay and you may need a local business
license. If you don't do things legally from the beginning, you open yourself
to many problems, including IRS audits.
