I'm the President of Momentum Texas Inc (MTI) a non profit based in Dallas that has been working with Veteran owned businesses since May of 2010. MTI has received two grants from the Texas Workforce Commission to support our work and has trained 250 Veteran entrepreneurs in Dallas Ft. Worth through 3 different course offerings, organized the first Texas Veterans Business Summit with 150 attendees in May 2011, and held entrepreneurship boot camps in the Killeen,/Ft. Hood area and in the El Paso/Ft. Bliss area. MTI is delighted that SBA has taken this initiative to introduce returning veterans to entrepreneurship. MTI has and will collaborate with SBA on this initiative. In 2011 MTI CEO was recognized by SBA as the Minority Small Business Champion of the Year.
