So does the SBA help start up self employment or just "small business"? I am wanting to start up my own business, but it will just be me, no employee's.

Are you thinking of small business financing? If so, the SBA doesn't make
loans. Rather, they guarantee loans made through your local bank. You don't
need to have employees to pursue a loan.

  Hi, Check out the resources available in our Starting a Business section, including information about business plans, financing, and marketing. Another great resource is SCORE, one of SBA's resource partners. SCORE is a nonprofit association comprised of thousands of volunteer business counselors throughout the country. They are trained to serve as advisors and mentors to aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners (at no cost to you). You can find your local office or set up an online meeting to chat with someone about your questions.
