My wife and I own a small business and have been in business for 18 years. Recently, I broke my leg and unable to work. Does anyone know if there are any federal or state grant funds available for temporary help for this?
No grants - they just don't work that way.
However, there may be a few other loan resources that you can tap until you get back on your feet (no pun intended).
Depending on your business - you might be able to factor current business assets like accounts receivables or purchase orders - providing you capital to maybe hire someone to fill in your shoes while you recover - keeping your business alive.
Or, there are many new non-bank lending programs that have cropped up recently that could provide you a short-term unsecured loan to help you get over this hurdle.
But, forget about grants - they just don't work that way.
