Join a bussiness networking group in your area to get referrals from other businesses in return for referring your customers to those businesses. I dont know what your agency company is exactly, but you can do promotional events or sales and advertise online or the newspaper or sending out flyers or just putting up flyers around town.

First things first, you are planning to expand your business physicaly or expanding by putting some more branch. Please specify you ideas more. Just for a tip make a survey on your market then about the service you are offering, is your customer satisfied with your service or not, in that way you can improve more.

A poll on your website could be automated to sort through data and give you up-to-date stats on customer feedback, service/goods usage and what-not.  I am not to technical, but as I understand it, this is pretty easy to do.  Then you could have a daily feed of how your business and customers are interacting!

You can initially think of possible new services that you would like to offer. Then, post a poll with your options. It also pays to know the latest trends in searches to know the pulse of your potential customers. This can be a daunting and long process but I'm pretty sure it will pay off eventually.

I do believe you question is broad ... but I believe if you want to expand your existing business, you should first look at your existing clients needs as this is the most easiest and cheapest way to market your business growth (product wise) best route :) If you are looking to expand to an entirely new business then you need to go back from scratch and start with marketing , promotions, etc. Good luck on your business expansion

It is very true, about working on the business every day. I have an online store and I tell you it takes my husband and I working on it just about every day. It is also true what you said about asking customer's what they like and dislike. I couldn't have posted anything better than what you commented. Keep up your great advices.

I agree that a survey of current customers with incentives is a good way to start seeking consumer driven ideas.  And if you are mainly focusing on your online presence, Google Adsense and tracking are good ways to begin growing in a marketing direction.  Who are you looking for, and what are they searching for?

Ask your current customers what they like and don't like about your business and fix the dislikes - also ask them what else they want - then try to provide it. Lastly, to grow your business - you must work on your marketing efforts each and every day - every thing you do, every where you go - is a marketing event - use it to your advantage.

cordercharles27, Can you provide some more specifics.... expanding your business is too broad. JimD
