Setting up a sales & marketing office in North Carolina

Hi,

 

My organization is planning to set up a sales and marketing business in North Carolina. Would appreciate insights and advices.

 

We are a group from India and would be setting up our first US office.

 

Our primary concerns are:

1. What are the regulations / restrictions for setting up a new venture from federal and state government?

2. What are the incentives for setting up a new venture from federal and state government?

3. What are the regulations / restrictions for closing a business from federal and state government?

4. What are the regulations / restrictions / incentives with regards to foreign investment?

5. What are the regulations with regards to repatriation of profits?

 

All advices would be very helpful.

Do different sattes offer different incentives to attract business development in their areas or is this illegal? for example tax advantages for the first 5 years in operation etc. I know this is done on an international level to attract foreign investment, but what about the state level?
