I also don't understand the question. You can't sell something you don't own. Corporations are owned by their stockholders. If the corporation is inactive, there is a reason; to try to resell the name could create serious legal problems. If you are thinking of registering and selling the inactive corporation's domain name, that is an entirely different issue.

I don't know about the legalties of it , but many companies do it and sell the seasoned companies quite regularly.

I don't understand your question.  First of all, what do you mean by inactive corporation?    Secondly, how could you re-sell it if you didn't own it?
