Can you be tax exempt from the company you buy your shipping boxes from. I know you are not resaling them directly from the website but, the boxes are part of the customers purchase with shipping. I am kind confused....can anybody give me some insight?
If you have a sales tax permit, you should be able to purchase boxes without paying sales tax. You will then pay use tax on the boxes because you used them in the course of doing business. If you have questions, check with your state revenue or tax agency for clarification.
