It appears that you understand the value of such services but more importantly you understand that without SALES you have no need for accounting.

I would suggest a local accounting form in your area. You would be surprised at how inexpensive these firms are and most will allow you to decide what services you want and don't want. Plus, being local, you can get better service since you can work with them face-to-face if needed.

I've been rethinking my current accounting situation (I've paid to have it done for some years now) and came to the conclusion to keep it as is. I went through 3 other CPA before I settled on the one I use now. Here are some of the factors: Does the CPA charge you every time you pick up the phone to talk to them? Does the CPA specialize in small business? Does the CPA work with a coordinated team of other professionals that have a business philosophy that is aligned with yours? I.e., the one I found works closely with a financial planner, tax attorney, and insurance agent that all share the same philosophy as to what it takes to grow a business and what types of tax strategies make sense in certain situations. Does the CPA charge by the hour or by the task? I think the coordinated team is probably the most significant of those.
