I’m tired of working for what it seems to be nothing. After getting out of
the Army I started to work with Unfortunate young adults that had made the
wrong choices along the way. I always wanted to say that I have made my
impression on this earth. I decided the other day that I would like to open
up a Indoor Play ground for young kids. I live in Manhattan Kansas and I fill
that there is a need for a Indoor play ground because the summers are hot and
the winters are cold. If you have any info in how I would even start on this
adventure that would be great.

by all means go after ever grant you can find, but I don't hold out great hope for your sucess. you might need to look at banks and more traditional funding lines such as cash-out mortgage refinancing.

Micro loans are a great source of start up credit - up to $35K for start ups and $50K for established businesses - just know that their average amounts are around $13.5K - but, it can get you started. There are peer-to-peer loans - up to $25K. You can use credit cards - may take several but many great businesses started this way. There are specfic loans for specific needs - like equipment lenders, real estate lenders, inventory lenders. You can always ask friends and family to get you started (called bootstrapping) - they know you best - then as you grow, look for other capital.

How can I get a loan to start a kids indoor playground in Los Angeles area. Does Fed help or has special assist program for youth and kids development kind of programs?   Thanks Amir

Federal grants do not work like you want - very hard to just get grants to start a business. On the other hand, if your city feels that it needs an indoor playground - it can help you apply for grant funding - just make sure your business is set up as a non-profit. You also might be able to get the people from your neighborhood (those who would benefit from the playground) to donate to your business to get it started. You just have to get out and network.

Ouch - dredit card funding hurts like heck for a start up - especially if it's a while before revenue starts coming back in. aummumulating interest dand cash advance fees will create a huge debt burden in no tiem. Credit cards are convenience credit, and you pay for that convenience, just like buying food from a service station is more expensive than a supermarket. the hairs on the back of my neck stand up every time I hear someone suggest CC funding - yes it can work, and yes in some cases it's the only potion, but so mnay people misuse thetheir cards that the debt starts to look more like a home mortgage loan than a credit card before long, but at 4 x the interest rate!
