service. Or combine them and get the best of both worlds.
There's always a great need for senior care , however there are HUGE liabilties involved. Quite recently I was able to look at the books of a local assisted living type facility , and the staff costs were much higher than I anticipated.
The poster seems to be looking for a smaller assisted living type of setup , which can work as I've seen it with college students, however like I've said above , liability mitigation is key.

The demand for assisted-living services will grow up exponentially. Assisted-living homes offer private living areas, meals and a moderate level of support.

I find that there are really good demand for this assisting living home market. This is a business that can be considered. We can see the profit potential is there. Just want to know much more about starting this business.

I'm speaking from personal experience when I say that entering the assisted living business is not only a great way to tap-into a booming (thanks to baby-boomers) sector of business and secure your future, but provide an honorable service to your community and country, and secure the future of a segment of our population who have given so much to make this country what it is today. Gratifying work if you can get it - and you can!
You can get involved in this business from either or (better yet) both of the following fronts:
1. As a real estate owner
2. As an assisted living home owner
While this is a business that will be in demand for the foreseeable future, it's also one that is particularly challenging to get off the ground.
Operational manuals and carefully-vetted business data are essential tools one must gather and review before writing their business plan. It's too easy otherwise to make costly, venture-terminating mistakes. See it all the time.
The next thing you'll want if you can get it is help - not from the government or friends and family at this point, but help from someone who's been their and done that. There are quite a few tricky decisions to navigate while making plans for an assisted living home business, so if you can't get this, then it's probably a good idea to work/volunteer in assisted living homes for at least a year to see how things work and, more importantly, how (and when and why) they don't.
Some questions you'll want to answer before you solidify your assisted living home business plan are:
1. Who must I register with (state or local government)?
2. Do I need certification? What does this require?
3. What will I serve my guests in terms of food, entertainment, accomodations etc.
4. What type of training will I need to give my staff?
5. Do I need a home inspection?
6. How will I get referrals?
Once you've carefully answered these questions and written your plan, you just need to get the facility ready and hire and begin training staff 60-90 days before you open your doors.
Once you do open them, don't make the mistake of accepting everyone that walks on through in the beginning just to get off to a quick start. You are creating a community and the decisions you make about how it will be created will effect the environment at your home for years to come.
