Hello my name is Takis, I am from Europe and I am interesting to open a clothing store in New York.

At that point I have to admit that I have just started searching to this direction, therefore I really have a lot of questions and unknown things.

Could you please provide me with some directions or links to search about what do I need to do in order to start a business in United states ?

If I could give you one piece of advice, it's make sure you run a niche business. There are so many clothing stores in NYC that you don't have a prayer unless your clothing is unique. On top of that you need to consider ways to market your business. At the very least you should utilize the Internet and at least take advantage of Craigslist. The very best of luck to you because you will need it!

Incorporating as a foreign entity might be a better option.
