I am starting a direct sales company like Mary K, Avon and Scentsy. I have
two questions:1. Do I need to register in other states to do business in that
state by independent consultant/hire? 2. What do I need to do to hire
independent consultants from other states?

tactics. And usually, in businesses like Avon where you can recruit new reps,
having a direct marketing campaign is the easiest to duplicate.
You as the leader can learn the skills necessary to create a direct response
marketing system that works for you, and once you get results from it, you
share it with your downline. That way, they can simply duplicate what you did
WITHOUT having to learn to create the system.
I've used this approach with 2 different companies now, and it works like a
golden charm.
Hope this helps.

your home state. The consultants will be independent contractors. As such, it
is their responsibility to decide how they each want to run their business.
Some people set up their own business according to the laws of their state
just as if they had their own store. Others work may work part-time and run
the income and expenses through their personal accounts, like a sole
proprietor.
To secure consultants, place information on your website along with an
application. You may want to have your attorney draft a formal agreement for
each person to sign. If you have not yet spent time on websites for Scentsy,
Avon, Mary Kay and other similar businesses, you may want to do so and look
for how they recruit sales associates.
