Starting Funds/Kick ins

All,
I have become involved in an LLC start-up that is trying to get production started but remain bank debt free. Our officers want to 'kick-in' money since it appears to be going in a very lurcrative direction. As a reward when we hire them, we(major shareholders) want to repay them later for thier initial investment. We would like to avoid issuing worthless stock. We would instead prefer to give them an interest in the operations/profit of the company. We in short, want to pay them each one percent net annual profit of the company indefinietly with a total cap at a set higher amount. We want to give them this option now and in the future as terms of thier employment contract. Has anyone ever heard of this. Is it legal. Better options for kick-in? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
