Starting a membership business

Hi, my bro and i are trying to start a bussiness that charges membership fees. For example, if i wanted to start a bussiness were i have computers and charge people monthly to use those computers for a month what type of zoning would i have to obtain to open that type of business up. Would it be retail, office, commercial. Not sure what type of zoning would be required for that type of business. If someone knows, it will be really helpful.

The answer to your question depends somewhat on where the business will be located. Will you have a location where people come to use the computers, similar to a cyber cafe, or will you operate the business from your home or an office, renting computers to people to take and use in their homes? If you are simply supplying computers, your requirements will be different than if you have a location where people come. With a bit more information, someone should be able to help you.

The business would be located in Maryland. Maybe in laurel, Columbia, Baltimore, or ellicott city. Preferably, i would have a business were customers come in a store and sign a membership agreement for one month to use the computers for one month in the store (they won't be able to take the computers home). No drinks or coffee would be served, just a place to provide internet access and computer/video games usage. No items would be sold. Basically, provide a service.
