I have a idea for a Resource Magazine for the Chicagoland area. I want to put the city, state and county contact information in the magazine. Can I put the contact information of public officials ( names, address, telephone number, fax number anfd website address) in my magazine for free as a resource.
Do I have to have permission from these government's agencies to reprint their infomation in my Resource Magazine?
Also how do I contact Companies to ask them to advertise in my magazine or find advertisers?
I want to launch my Resource Magazine January/2010 in Chicago, Illinois.
Natureofasista - this is an interesting question. Most information on U.S. government websites are public property, but I would recommend a quick call to your city/county governments to be sure.
