starting a small family farm csa

i'm starting an uncertified organic (i know about that one, it's labelled 'natural' for now) small community supported agriculture farm (2 acres, 35 shares) this season and need to know what licenses or permits i need. for now we're just growing produce but plan to expand into eggs, meat and honey in the next few years. thanks in advance :]

You will need to register a business name with your state or county agency that handles registrations. Your state department of agriculture inspects facilities and issues permits to sell meat, eggs, and similar products. They also certify organic farms. They can tell you the requirements for refrigeration, sanitation, and other issues involved with selling meat and eggs.

hi poppybeds- Have you used the Permit Me Tool? It generates a list of licenses and permits according your location and industry. What kind of agriculture business are you planning to start?
