I would suggest that you look a little deeper into Adsense. This model is largely starting to become irrelevant and making money from it means scaling your website into thousands of websites, or creating a super-successful site. The super successful site can be tough because often times the fact that you have Adsense on it directly impairs you ability to be succesful.   Good luck!

Like any business - maming money with adsense takes some time and work. Look into parked domains. Also, make sure you have great link devleopment.

Hi Snipes, I really suggest you think over this. Making money with ads is very difficult. Your content will have to be very very good to bring people on your website and thus should be update various times per day. If you do, chose a theme you are expert in. I should advise you to be an affiliate instead, there are so much possibility to make money with affiliation. Make a search on google, you will get to know what is it about. (our affiliate for instance make like 200 us a month selling our capoeira pants) But you have every kind of business that ask for affiliates, because selling on the internet is a matter of affiliation nowadays (soccer brand, toys brand, softwares...). But to bring people to buy on your website is always about trust, I suggest you start by a facebook account and follow the perry marrshall and bryan todd training about facebook(the free videos are enough to start), because facebook is a more 'friendly' place where you can gain people trust and then propose them to buy affiliates products. I started Adsense right when the program went out. Back then it was a blast. Nowdays, it's a lot mor complex. More work for less results. Still work, though You have to publish lots of content and optimize your pages well for call to action.

As sdmike said, you don't need to. Google will send you a 1099-MISC at the end of the year which you will put into your personal tax return.

No you do not but let me tell you that you have no prayer of making anything worthwhile from a brand new website unless you are generating hundreds of thousands of visitors a month to your site. The reality is that new domains do not rank high on search engines so don't expect any high volume of traffic anytime soon. In order to have lots of traffic to your site you need lots of content (site that generate large amounts of web traffic have thousands of pages in their site). Then, you need those pages to be found in Google's index. Additionally, you need those pages to rank on the 1st page of Google for search phrases being conducted. Finally, you don't make anything for displaying the ads on your site. Your visitors must click on the ads and then you get a percentage of what Google charges their advertisers for that click. Not trying to discourage you, but you should have realistic expectations.
