State and Local Section

This is a great site with a lot of helpful information on it.  I noticed the State and Local section is a little bit of a hodge podge.  I could see two ways to improve it.  First, you could create separate boards for all fifty states.  The downside would be that a lot of good information might go unseen if users only go to their own state.  The other option would be to recast the topic as issues that are unique to state and local issues.  Right now, there are a lot of topics that might be more appropriate in other sections (most notably, there are a lot of Business Law topics).

Thanks for the feedback, Justin. We have, in fact, considered creating boards for all 50 states. Unfortunately, as you surmised, it would be difficult to ensure that information relevant to a business in any state gets surfaced. We opted for encouraging members (and our own moderators) to tag state related information. For example, if you click the Delaware tag you get a lot of information relevant to just Delaware businesses. Also, if there is a hot issue, such as a business law issue, we discuss it in our moderator meetings and see if there is enough content available to create a business article in Expert Insight and News. As always, feel free to notify a moderator if you see a gap in our content. We will do our best to fill it. Thanks again Stuart
