Hi, our veterinary business usually operates through referrals from customers. We have recently built a website and are looking to gain more local business by expanding our reach on the internet. Would anyone here have any ideas on good ways to market a local business online? All suggestions are greatly appreciated.

information and write it down somewhere for record. Name, Address and Phone
number (NAP) are the most critical areas for ranking well in local listings
on google. Be sure to use a local phone number with the appropriate area code
where the actual physical location of the business is.
Next, go to Yext(dot)com and sign up there. If you are new to local SEO you
are better off using professional services. What they do is take your
business in formation and sync it across major local web directories. Syncing
your NAP data helps you rank in local searches thus bringing more clients to
your business.
If you want to learn more about local SEO before pursuing Google places
listing, consider reading Mike Blumenthal's blog. You can find it by
searching for "blumenthal seo" on google.
Best of luck!
