Hi Fescobar, I took a look at your website. Is your target audience local or global? I noticed in your page source that you have a 'title' but no meta name description or keywords. There is very little content on your pages and at first glance at your home page, I really couldn't figure out what the site was about. You only have six or seven pages, it doesn't appear that your site has been indexed and you have no back links. If you go to Google and search for your site...type in...site:your url or link:your url nothing shows in the search results. You have to properly optimize each page for the search engines. Page URL, Title, Keywords (altho Google discounts the KW meta tag, Bing & Yahoo doesn't) Page Description, H1, H2 tags and content have to all correspond to each other. Your pages are not optimized. Your page titles are general keywords and your page url's are wrong...in that..if I click on the page 'Printing' you named the URL colorchoicegraphics.com/page12.html...at the very least you should have named the URL...colorchoicegraphics.com/printing.html You will never rank for general Keywords like Printing, Clothing, Silk Screening. You need to do some KW research for your niche, try WordTracker Free Keyword Tool or Google Adwords Keyword Tool. The amount of pages you have are your footprint on the web. Six or seven pages poorly optimized with little content is like trying to find one particular grain of sand in the Sahara Desert. Look for keywords that don't have a lot of competition. Take 'uniforms' for instance. There's 26 million search results for uniforms. There's 521K results for 'custom school uniforms'... If I were you I'd change every page. You don't have anything to lose. Start with your home page. Optimize with good meta description, meta keywords, use H1, H2 tags, detail your content about your business 500-1000 words. Move on to 'printing page' change url from 'page12' ..if you're targeting local business you could name your page...colorchoicegraphics/baltimore-custom-printing-designs.html...once you have optimized this page in the same manner as your home page, upload and remove the old page. I don't believe your pages are indexed, but if so, you could just use google's 'url removal tool' just in case to remove the old pages. Structure your site navigation..Home Page is Tier 1, next...example..baltimore-custom-printing-design is Tier2 page..baltimore-custom-business-cards are Tier3 pages off your Tier2 custom-printing-design page. Link back to each Tier 2 page from Tier 3 pages and back to your home page from all pages. Hope this helps

The first thing an individual or business needs to determine is what they intend to accomplish with their website. 99.99% of small businesses and individuals have no idea of what it takes to have and keep a web presence. I had a friend ask me the other day..'have you finished your website'..to which I replied..'a website is never finished'. Building a successful website is like swimming..if you stop moving your arms and legs, you will sink to the bottom...if you stop building quality content, you'll be swallowed up in the web abyss. Take for instance my local Chamber. They hired a fancy web design company to build their website and probably paid many thousands of dollars just for the design. Yeah, it's a very attractive site that gets 72 visitors a month...more than likely, mostly employees. A strong fact that looks aren't everything. A business (website) is doomed for failure if you're not willing or don't know how to do the work yourself. Small businesses could benefit from a website without huge amounts of traffic, through local search and an email campaign monthly newsletter to patrons, advertising specials and discounts. Just collect those email addresses from all customers. The benefits and cost savings of advertising and marketing a business with a website vs a YP listing is a no-brainer. The hard part for me is making individuals and businesses understand the process without getting too technical.

Local businesses need help with their websites and in particular marketing their websites. If you can offer them a combo type package then absolutely this is something you should explore. My company does exactly that -- helps local businesses secure an online presence and market that presence to its customers. Just start talking to some local business owners, you'll see the demand is there.

Actually I was recently thinking about this or a similar variation of what you are suggesting. I am very capable of creating, managing, administering a variety of web related things. From programing and development, to security and administration. I just do not know how I could market that or provide a service in the town or community I live in easily. A lot of people seem to be doing their own web site management these days. It is easier than what it used to be with automated processes and one or two click type of web site backend management. Something I would like to pursue though.
