My name is Dawn R. Baldesi, I am a certified elementary and special education teacher, I have my Masters in the Art of Teaching, and I am finishing up my counseling degree and Reading Specialist Masters and add on Certifications. With the diversity change in the St. Louis and Jefferson Counties, in Missouri, there is a larger need for pre-kindergarten learning and child care facilities’ that offer state standard educational programs for at risk children and low to middle class families. I also see the need for English as a Second Language support facilities as well. I have the education and ability to develop such a program out of my home; I am looking for grants or low interest funding to get this running and provide assistance to the community around me. Can your office help me with that?

With regard to grants, SBA doesn't provide them for starting or expanding a business; SBA does, however, have the authority to make grants to non-profit and educational organizations. SBA has resource partners like SCORE, Women’s Business Centers and Small Business Development Centers located across the country that provide free business counseling to individuals looking to start or expand a small business.
