Temp Staffing Agencies

My father-in-law owns a small Temp Staffing agency near Venice, FL and there
isn't enough business to keep him going. I was wondering if there is any
gov't assistance for staffing agencies? Obviously, the gov't would like to
keep his business going, so my father-in-law could help other people find
jobs. Does anybody have any ideas for him? Thank You

its part and parcel of the industry. He may want to widen his scope of
specialty or perhaps move into contract roles rather than pure temp.

you are a for-profit business. Is there a reason why your FIL doesn't have
enough business? Perhaps he is attracting the wrong type of laborers (manual
labor instead of skilled office or high tech temps, for instance). Or perhaps
your community is too small to have enough businesses that need temps. You
may want to visit with a counselor at a small business development center or
an SBA office and have them help you analyze the business and your local
market and see how the business model can be modified to better meet the
needs of your community. Throwing money at a problem isn't always the answer
if there are other problems.
