Three owners: two in NY, one in VA

Hi, two friends and I are looking at starting an Internet-based company. I live in Virginia, while the other two live in New York. Because it is an Internet-based business, sales will be made to people around the country. If all goes well, we will be hiring employees in both states.
Right now I'm trying to figure out how income taxes would be be handled (assuming incorporation). If we incorporate in VA, then we would also need to file in NY as a foreign corporation (or vice versa). How would income to the company be taxed?
Thanks in advance for your help!
