Timesheet software: do you enter time daily, weekly, or via a timer?

A quick poll: if you or your employees use timesheet software to record time spent on projects, how do you enter that time into your system?
Do you enter time against tasks/projects (with detailed notes) at the end of each day, or maybe even every few hours? Or do you sit down at the end of the week and try to remember where your time has gone (perhaps referring to your paper notes, or calendar, etc)? Or are you the sort of person who has built the discipline to use timers to record actual time on tasks? (and remembers to stop/start them!)
The reason for asking is we just analyzed some search data from our online comparison service for timesheets, and found that the ability to enter time in a weekly view was the #1 must-have feature. So I'm curious to hear more about the behaviours, motivations and trade-offs about how people enter time in their timesheet system...
