I think you are confused over what a home based business is vs what self employed is:   You can operate your tour company from home and it will be a 'home based business' You can operate your tour company from home or a store front or online and if you work for your tour company then you are self employed.   The industry is Hospitality or Travel Agent. Even though you may not sell travel segments to individuals, you still sell different aspects of travel as a package. So most likely your industry is Travel  or Travel Agency and may be catorgorized as Hospitality. It depends on who or where you need to be catorgorized with. With the IRS, you are in Travel. With industry magazines, you could be either Hospitality or Travel. With industry suppliers you are a Travel Agent.
