I have been looking around lately for information on setting up a business in the states.
We currently operate our business in the UK but are looking to expand in the States. I am a UK national with a formal registered company with our companies house. What is required or is it even possible to expand the business in the states?

It is possible to expand your business into the US. Take a look at the article Starting a Business in the US as a Foreign National. You will need to follow the same steps as some starting a business from the US would need to.
