I am a land owner with about 100 ac. In NH. I have recently been looking around at the camp sites on line and have found very few that offer discounts or programs to families struggling with today's economy. Is there any grants out there to develop a peace of land for this type of us. It would be a not for profit organization.

Hi Jimo, Just to be clear, grants are not so easy to obtain. However, I will provide you with a few links/websites that to start you research: Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance http://www.grants.gov/ Small Business Grants The third link should be very helpful. It includes a Business Loans and Grants Search Tool that allows you to insert the information about your program/business. It will list the loans and grants you may able to receive. The other two are websites that you can check out to research different grants. I would like to provide you with more information, but I am not sure if you are going to turn your land in shelters, homes, etc for the families. If you want further explain the idea, I am happy to do more research for you. BriaS

You might check with your state department of parks and recreation and with your state department of commerce. There are sometimes state grants available to develop recreational sites.
