I am currently legally employed by a company that is in China where I am living and working. My work status allows me to take the foreign tax exclusion(96,000EST in 2009).
I am also looking to do consulting work for a US company and what to know if I can establish a legal business in the US or would I be best as an independent contractor? I currently am not liable for state tax as I have no longer have property in the US.
