I heard a small business expert on the news the other morning who said the key for a small business to expand was to increase revenues. Wow! What unique thought. He went on to say that all you needed to do was increase sale. Again for those who did not catch it the first time,WoW! What a genious. I bet the phone lines lit up for him to come to work for them.On a more serious side he is correct. What he failed to do was to tell the millions of listners how to do that. Yea, funny but true.So I am going to do what he faild at. The fist step is to find the ten most negative people you can and ask them to cretique your businss from top to bottom. If you can ot take construstive critism you need to stop reading right here. The next thing to do is to write down how you intend to make those chages and go back to your 10 negative friends.You got it ask them to do the same thing.Once you get over the devistation for rejection you are now ready to act like a business owner. One who can accept responsibility for what is broken.Nect step is to take out an add for sales people to sell your product. If you do not have capital for payroll you will need to hire non-exempt outside sales people. This next statement is very important not to get into ledal trouble with the grovernment and IRS. They are still your employee and so long as they do not work from your office or their home (which is considered an extention of the office) more than 20% of the time you can count them as an EXEMPT outside sales person. You will want to make sure they ahve signed saying they agree and understand their responsibilities. You need to read FLSA laws (not complecate to understand. You just need to read all of it!The next step is to get a vertual phone system with unlimited extensions. This will allow you to add or delete employees as you need to. You will need a system that also allows you to have phone numbers for each area of the country. Now you have a national sales force.Oh yea you will need to attract the sales force. That is easy. Purchase what all good recruting agencies use. It is called an ATS (automatic tracing system) Yo u will have to Google and read on which one is best for you and will have to study how to use it as I do not have that much time here.Now you have a salesforce that cost almost nothing to create, or maintain as EXEMPT sales are exempt from hourly wage and labor laws. it is better than having a 1099 contract employee because if you try to contral their activities you could find the IRS or DOL knocking on your door because you failed to pay your full time exempt employee you dd not know you had until you contractor reported themself because they were disgruntled. Talk about a nightmare!They say that you can give most people a golden goose and they will cook it. What you do with this information is up to you. You can cook it or lay a lot of additioal golden eggs.Now you have revenuew and professional employees with no capital.Try it you might be amazed at the results. One thing I forgot to tell you is that all the links back to your website from the jobboards will increse your ranking a lot. No wonder larger corporations post so many phantom jobs... This is unethincal and I do not recommend it. The fact that your employees will cost you almost nothing until they produce for you it is not hard to see how you could post an aweful lot of jobs and increase your salesforce and raise your SEO rank at the same time.I hoep this helped someone in distress make a huge turn around. This type of advice is normally a well kept secret by very large corporations.
