How do you want to grow your business as there are many dimensions to grow a property business. Are you looking to expand it in other states or wat?

Congratulations Karen on your pursuit to expand your business. I assuming your goals are to increase business in your targeted market area of North Dallas, without drastically increasing costs or staff. You happen to be in a stable, but competitive real estate market in North Texas. I am going to give you my two cents and I hope I dont offend you with my observations and comments. Ironically Business.gov strips out your backlink attempt in your post, however, I looked you up in Google and see that you were a former 1parkplace member with 421 contacts still in your database and currently work with Brenda Featherston, who is one of the most awesome broker/owners I have had the pleasure of meeting. I also checked your current web presence and did a quick eval on your business. With this in mind, I have three initial suggestions for you: Focus on your COI (people you know and know you by first name) Realizing that I could only see what the public sees, Im going to make some assumptions I notice that you have more than one website and they are not integrated into your business seamlessly on the back side. At this moment it does not look like you are auto funneling all your prospects and contacts to the same back office database. This only creates more work for you and dilutes your Internet marketing effort. Your contacts may be getting to a single database ultimatley, but it does not seem integrated with your lead capture tools on all your websites. What this does is cause more work on your part to manage your business properly. With an integrated back office, you should see your relationships improve, meaning more referrals and better advocacy of you by your new prospects. My expectation here is that you can increase the amount of business from this section by over 35% with a properly integrated database and marketing system. Target neighborhoods better. Your Internet presence is not clear, concise or compelling. Your website does not get to the point for owners or buyers quick enough. The fact that a search link takes you to either a form, a NTREIS IDX that is complicated to use or a list of national databases that take you outside of your site is also a challenge for comprehensive lead capture. There are no opportunities to generate leads when you link out. Also, you should market your site better to the local community by providing current updates and information that property owners would be interested in. It looks like you have a lot of text for search engines, but realize you want buyers and sellers so reshaping the information to generate leads from your traffic should be a top priority. Proper implementation of this process should increase your business by another 25%. Consider social networking and begin thought leading in your market. It looks as if you are technically competent and have a lot of connections online. With this in mind, I would encourage you to look into create your own social networking community that differentiates your business from that of your competition. Specific increase percentages are unclear with this area of marketing, however, signs are showing that this is helping business when implemented properly. Doing SEO is a good way to grow your business.. that was clearly his attention in making this post. He failed though. :)

There are many factors that you can look at to grow your business. You can look at the number of leads you're getting each: week, month, year and increase those numbers. You can increase the percentage of conversions that you're getting. You can increase the ammount you make per sale. You can increase the number of referrals. You can increase the number of 'repeat' business that you get. Ideally you want to have small increases across all 5 areas and you'll see a huge growth across your entire business. If you want to grow your business, the #1 thing that matters is sweat equity. This is a good start. Do some research on internet marketing and general marketing. Check out Seth Godin and SEOMoz, good places to spark ideas on promotion for your vertical.
