Since I am into seo, many of my friend told me about Web directory. I don't know much how it works and how much it effective can anybody explain me please.

Web directories are useful to promote our business but due to late activation
most of people start avoiding it. But if we use it properly then defiantly we
can get a good result.
I would still go on this tactic of building links, hence stringently
implementing choosing a quality web directory to submit. Never submit to
those free web directory sites as new Google update diminished it. Local
directory listing though is good.

registered, Google has made many changes in its algorithm in terms of SEO
wise.
So never waste your time in submitting your site in such useless directories.
Just pick out the best and top directory submission sites like Google, dmoz,
yahoo, etc and try to list your site over there.
It is content that matters a lot in today's SEO trends. So upload your site
with good, quality and fresh content for your site, that helps in getting
natural backlinks to your site also.
