Where can I obtain free and usable website "terms of use" and "privacy policy" templates for my business? All of the ones that come up when doing a Google search are either not free or not usable. If what I am looking for simply does not exist for free then I am willing to go to plan B and pay for them. So my next question would be, what is an appropriate price to pay for such items? I really have no idea what a lawyer would charge. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
There are sites like LegalZoom that have terms of use and privacy policies that are inexpensive - not free. However, chances are that documents that you get from such a site will not appropriately cover your issues. Many people just copy the documents from similar sites to save the expense of hiring a lawyer. Chances are that this will also result in missed issues. Good idea to be thinking about adding 'Terms of Use' and a 'Privacy Policy' to you site. If you have already taken a look at the statements on other webistes (Facebook and MySpace both have fairly comprehensive policies) and need assistance customizing your own, then think about retaining a lawyer. You could just copy one from another website and change it according to your needs, but
if you are going to open a "serious" online business my bet is to find a good lawyer to do it.

My suggestion would be to find a 3-5 businesses in the same category of business, Then rewrite all their terms and policies together into your own.
Just remember rewriting and addig your own personal twist - the last thing you want i to be sued due to copyright infringement.
