Websites Stealing Business Intellectual Property

I write for a number of publications for the business and for fun of sorts. I did some backend research and there are tons of sites blatantly stealing these ideas and business concepts and putting their name on it, etc.
I know you can sue, but before you sue, the other party has to have some money and be in the United States. How can I decipher if a website meets both the aforementioned criteria?
