I was interested in opening a coin dealership, buying and selling rare gold and silver coins. I was wondering what government agency regulates these businesses.

I believe that coin dealers are regulated by city or county governments, and in many places require a pawnbroker license in addition to whatever general business and sales tax permits are required.
Licesning requirements for selling gold, silver and other precious metals comes up frequnetly.
Any coin or used precious metal dealers out there want to share their experiences?
