What do I need?

Photography started as a hobby for me, but recently I have started doing shoots for people (and getting paid). It has turned into something to help me through school financially. I am starting to wonder if I am required to obtain any type of license or permit to continue.
I have started a website and made flyer to try to gain more customers. I have done Maternity shoots, a wedding, senior portraits, and children. I offer my services taking the pictures for $20 an hour plus a $45 fee for my travel and editing time. I do not have a studio, all shoots are done in public locations or the customers home. The most I have brought in in a month has been approximately $100, but business does seem to be picking up some. I do NOT have the prints made for the customers, they receive their pictures on a disc or SD card and print the pictures themselves.
Does anyone know if I am required to have anything to this?
