What type of things can I get sued for in an online business?

I would like to know what type of things an online business that accepts credit cards in return for services, ex. say for a Net Assistant or Typing/Transcription company, can be sued for? If the individuals credit card information is stolen, can my company be held liable for it?
How do I avoid legal liability? If results cannot be gauranteed then should I start the company? What if the customer does not get the results he or she wanted, can they be sued for their money back and how do I bill them for it?
Do I need a customer service line for an online business? Can I just have a business voice mailbox to collect customer contacts?
Thanks

or any e-commerce site that has a shopping cart built into them, put that in
the website. That way anyone paying you will be protected by this third-party
company who specializes in this category and you will be out of liability
since you're not holding to any credit card number. You will not be liable
under the PCI or any other government regulation governing such transactions.
