I want to open a collision repair shop and on my free time i want to make
bar-b-que grills, but what will i need to get going? I have a certificate in
welding and collision repair. I have a good location and i really just need
the capital.

As kburger stated, your first option would be to check which grants and loans
you are available for. I would also consider a secured loan. If you already
have an establishment, some lenders may be willing to use that as collateral
against your loan. However, this is also risky because there is a possibility
that if the business folds, you could lose your asset in case of nonpayment
on the loan.

Hi Mr.Williams, In case you haven't already, check out some of our resources for starting a business. You'll find a guide to help you determine if you're ready, details about writing a business plan, and preparing business finances.
If I were you, I would start by selling your service. If your customers like
what you do, you know you have a good idea for a business. If not, you
haven't wasted lots of time and money on the idea. Plus, the more you sell,
the more money you will have to improve your business. I think your first
priority should be to find a customer, if you haven't done so already.
