Free advertising online... some good advice from others! Craigslist.com, Start a Facebook fan page, Twitter, free article submission sites linking to a blog.. you can even kick off a free blog using blogger.com or wordpress.com. I agree with Saba who posted earlier. Google Local Business Listings have been extremely successful for my business. And as she points out, it's Free! I agree with some of the post here, find out why people need your product and services, what problem are you solving for them, go to the forums that talk and discuss about such subjects, value add by offering advise, don;t appear to 'salesy'   I had a friend who did this and came up with 800 sign up in a month of lauching his website.

Google Local Business is the best FREE online advertising (and don't forget the similar offers from Yahoo and Bing). It takes a while for your business to show up, but when it does, business definately picks-up. One key I discovered - get your business listed (address and phone number) in every online local business related directory or listing you can find. Google likes that. We've found that MerchantCircle is beneficial. As others have stated, there are dozens of good, free advertising sites out there.

My suggestion - Blog, blog, blog.  Pick 3 topics/products that you sell and know a lot about and create 3 blogs (one on each topic), then blog at least once a week on each blog.     But here's the key: don't get your posts done in 20 minutes by writing down what you already know. Research the topic, find news articles and updates about it, so that what you are writing is actually helpful and informative to your audience. Include videos and pictures related to what you're talking about.  A tool like Zemanta helps beginners insert royalty-free media into their blogs.   Too many businesses have heard that a blog will increase traffic to their site, and to jump on the band wagon, start writing posts that don't really teach anyone anything but have a lot of the company's keywords stuffed inside. This doesn't benefit anyone - no one is going to read a blog like that, and consequently, no one is going to follow links on that blog to a site about it's topic.    Example A (BAD): A moving company wants to promote themselves, so they start a blog.  The blog consists of random posts about the company and how other moving companies don't compare or can't beat their prices or quality.    Example B (GOOD): A truck rental company starts a blog. They write posts about current truck rental insurance scams to be aware of, how to evaluate the right size truck for your move, or how gas prices will impact truck rental pricing in the future.   Bottom line - provide good content, and people will want to visit and link to your site/blog/etc. 

The best advertising online is a well designed and laid out website with proper and quality SEO (search engine optimization) techniques implimented throughout.    Good SEO shouldn't cost a fortune and doesn't take an expert to figure out and follow through on.  Just a simple knowledge of how the system works and a working knowledge on selecting the keywords that real people actually search for.    I would avoid any of the link farms or 'to good to be true' deals that you find out there.  In the beginning I fell for every stupid pipedream that showed up in my inbox.    If PPC or PPV on a reliable site, research research research SEO and proper traffic tactics.  Create profiles on myspace, facebook, twitter, youtube, blogger, wordpress, how-to, etc and start slinging quality content at your viewers.    The whole process takes time, you will not see results within days, or even weeks for that matter but you will see results.    Forum signatures (like here) are another good way to get your name out there but it takes time and patience.  You cannot spam forums left and right, you should only post quality content, etc.   I have tons of information on this topic (more than I could ever type in one sitting) on my website.  Let me know if you'd like more info.

Why not try to create a good video about your business? There many of video share sites like Youtube,PhotoBucket, DailyMotion, etc that loved to accept any type of video to share. Video share sites is the best alternative of free online advertising, coz they have millions of visitors every months. As on my cash, I just created a new short video's (32 seconds) for my new 'Daily News Money Making Ideas Blog' and share it to youtube, photobucket, dailymotion, myspace, etc..
