Where should I look for money?

Trying to start up a small manufacturing facility, producing an apparatus I designed for the sports medicine industry. I need approx $100-150 K for building expenses, tools and equipment, start up inventory, insurances and other miscellaneous start up costs. Not sure where to go or who to ask....thought I'd start here. Thanks for looking!

I always start with looking underneath the couch cushions first for money... just kidding! You'll want to start your research at the SBA.gov website and see if you qualify for a guarenteed loan via their services.

SBA.Gov is good for looking into loans, but raising 150K isn't an easy task. If you can PROVE you have a VIABLE business plan, then raising money isn't so difficult. If you can prove to some investors that your idea will work, you can get loans easily. Just need to know where to look. I Would start searching for VC Firms on google.

Are you looking for government funding or private investment? There's a lot of many splashing around these days because of the stimulus but you need to know how to get it ;)

SBA loans are a good place to start - call local banks in your area and see who offers SBAs and get their package. Or, you can try out webiste - we list resources and information for businesses seeking capital - it is what we do - no cost to use our website.
