I'm currently a college undergrad student studying criminal justice and security management(minor). I'm looking into being hired by the NYPD in the next year or so. Ive always wanted to become a police officer, but lately Ive wanted to open my own business in a field which I knew and loved such as law enforcement/security. Now I'd be doing a min. 5yrs in the NYPD before I consider starting a small business. My question to you all is, what exactly can I do with the education I have so far and the work experience I will get in the coming 5 years? What type of business suits me? What can I do meanwhile to improve my chances of reaching my goal as a succesfull owner of a small business? Thank you all.
