I just recently took over the government procurement initiatives for my company. When I tried to register with ORCA for my GSA contract, it doesn't classify me as a small business.
We're NAICS 423710 which has an industry average of 100 workers-we have 12
My company's receipts were approx. $4,000,000.
They required parent company information which was 40 employees and $10,000,000.
I'm assuming they are evaluating the numbers associated with my company since that's the only NAICS information I had to provide....so what am I doing wrong? I looked at the SBA website to determine what the issue was, but then I was even more confused when I saw the size was 100.
Are you registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR)?
CCR is the primary vendor database for the U.S. Federal Government. CCR and ORCA are complementary systems; ORCA reuses data pulled from CCR and pre-populates many of the required Representations and Certifications.
Two items are needed prior to registration; (1) An active record in CCR, (2) An MPIN from that active CCR record. Visit www.ccr.gov to complete these tasks if you havent already.
