Why outsource work?

Why are more and more companies outsourcing their work these days? Is
outsourcing work is the need of the hour because of resource constraints?
What do you think and are there any disadvantages of this? Please give in
your feedback.

international trade: someone else can do certains jobs better, quicker and
cheaper than you can. It's a win-win to take advantage of the efficiencies.
You don't have to be an expert in everything, you can focus on your core
skills.

outsourcing work, you're not typically paying for the employee's insurance
and/or benefits.
Another thought is that the person(s) you outsource to will not be engulfed
within your day-to-day company norms so they can bring ideas to the table
that may benefit your company as a whole.

advantages. Only pain is that changes organization has to go through.
Overall, if done with plan, this always works and gives competitive advantage

the responses. What I feel now is that outsourcing work is a better option
because nobody can be a jack of all trades, and what better than getting the
task done by someone else in much less time and expenditure.
