I have a general question regarding the types of businesses I see opening around my area. Every time there is a strip mall opened, there are the same types of businesses opening up in them. Pizza/sub shop, hair salon, chinese food, etc, etc. Why do these same types of businesses open up over and over again? Don't the banks have data they look at in order for a loan to be approved? Isn't it a negative to have the same types of businesses everywhere?I know part of it is supply and demand. But is the demand for say a hair salon really that great that it goes in nearly every mall?Thanks
