My husband and I own a small electrical company. We recently changed the ownership of the companys shares to 51% owned by myself, and 49% owned by my husband. I believe that with this change, I may now qualify as a woman owned business. I need to know what steps I need to take to be recognized or registered as a woman owned business. Remember, we are already an established business of 6 years. Only the percentage of shares of stock have been changed. We would like to take advantage of government contracts for contruction that have been set aside for this type of business. Please help me. Thanks
