Workers Compensation money from Audit

After last year Workers Compensation Audit, the insurance company that was handling it for one of the business I have, decided that I owe them $22,300. They wanted me to pay a down payment and then $2,000 per month for 10 months. I did pay the down payment but the first month I did not have the $2,000 and sent only $200. I know I owe this money and I am planning to pay them but I do not think I will be able to pay more than $200 per month. The debt is already within the collection department of this insurance company and they are threatening me to do other things to collect. What else can they do but ruin my credit? I am in Tennessee. Thanks.
