writing a business plan for a new business

I've never done anything like this before. I need to write a business plan for funding. I am having trouble finding statistics as to other businesses that offer my business. I am wanting to start a bounce business for kids, but I can't seem to find statics to support how this business is doing, in any form, US statistics, state or locally.Do you have any advice of where I may find this information without paying a firm lots of money to do this research for me? Do you think it would be easier to just pay someone to get info to get these facts and be done with it?

Please do not purchase any business planning software just yet. If you've never written a business plan before chances are it will not be helpful to you. Make an appointment with your local Small Business Development Center and through their no-cost consulting they will guide you in creating your own business plan. SCORE provides the same service at the same cost. FREE!! Any way you go about writing your business plan should be fine; it's not the plan that is important...IT IS THE PLANNING Also, Entrepreneur Magazine publishes startup guides for several industries that I have found to be quite helpful- see if your library has a copy.
